Ghoulies and Ghosties

As the time approaches, the veil between realities becomes less tangible. In other words...the monster under your bed may actually be real.

I love this time of year for a variety of reasons. The most basic is survival. It seems strange but I am comforted by monsters. When there is the possibility for fairies, vampires, werewolves, and all other sorts of beasties to roam, I don't feel nearly as vulnerable. Humans aren't the worst monsters out there...like we usually are.

There is, however, one woman who always scares me. Lady Cottington has it out for the fae! Three published books (who knows how many have been left unpublished) with pages filled of the bodies of pressed fairies, imps, goblins, and such.

It's one thing to defend yourself against another. Lady C, however, seems to think this outright slaughter is a game!

Oh, it starts innocently enough. A young girl is reading a book when a fairy trips by to see what the girl is doing. Then quite by accident a couple pages flip and the fairy is doomed.

Now, you can't expect the fae to ignore a slight of this magnitude.

This senseless slaughter is unneccesary though. Lady Cottington must be stopped!
