Parley vs. Parler

What do you think I am, an amateur? I check these things...especially when they are in languages I don't know. Sheesh.

par·ley Audio pronunciation of "parley" ( P ) Pronunciation Key (prl)
n. pl. par·leys

A discussion or conference, especially one between enemies over terms of truce or other matters.

intr.v. par·leyed, par·ley·ing, par·leys

To have a discussion, especially with an enemy.

[Middle English, from Old French parlee, from feminine past participle of parler, to talk, from Vulgar Latin *paraulre, from Late Latin parabolre, from parabola, discourse. See parable.]

And yes, Max, you are right...but so am I. Even Wikipedia uses them interchangeably.
I guess it is really just a matter of using the one you like better.
