Workin' the corner...

Let it never be said that the University of Wyoming isn't a great pimp! It will beat you down, make you jump through hoops, and turn tricks. It will also continuously send your resume and "file" out to anyone who's hiring.

I just got off the phone with a principal in SweetValley, Kansas. She was offering me the English teacher position for their middle/high schools. So, pretty much the same job I have now, only in Kansas. After politely declining and promising to stay in contact (Who knows, I may be up for Kansas eventually) I was immediately bombarded with pop culture references...

1. Wonder if it's any where near Hidden Valley? (Think ranch dressing)
2. SweetValley...isn't there a series of young adult novels set there? (yes there is ...yummy angst ridden puppy love stories that only 7th grade girls can handle)
3. Too many Dorthy and Toto comments to sort out...

Now I just have to figure out how to get an updated resume, and my continuing ed credits 'n such, into the file at the university.

Dear lord...I'd have to make so many cracks about Oz, slippers, and munchkins I might pass out!

There are several Hidden Valleys, but that containing the ranch for which the dressing is named is near Santa Barbera, CA.
