The end of the world!

I've lost my copy of Labyrinth! What am I supposed to do without my dose of Bowie/muppet goodness? *sniffle sniffle whine whine*

I know something that might help. It's called MirrorMask. If your local video store doesn't have it, Netflix does.

*whine* The point is ....I'm missing David Bowie in all of his androgenous, cod-piece wearing goodness. *whine*

♪"what could I do?"♪

This is what happens when you wish your baby dvd away, even as a joke.

I like Bowie as much as the next guy (more, in fact), but I do not understand your generation's fascination with this movie. Like the Dark Crystal, I think you had to be a kid when you first saw it. I think the music is kinda lame (ducking).

Get yourself a copy of "The Man Who Fell to Earth" or "Absolute Beginners" and see Bowie through grown-up eyes...

I've actually seen both of those....as well as his really bad version of a Vampire.

I do think you are right...there is a whole slew of movies that really only seem to appeal to my generation. Labyrinth, Dark Crystal, Last Unicorn, Secret of Nimh, etc.

Labyrinth has a place in my heart as the vehicle that started my crush on Bowie. That combined with my love of muppets make for a great movie obsession.

"The Hunger" - ah, lesbian action with Catherins Deneuve and Susan Sarandon. They just don't make movies like that anymore...
